~~On the morning of 18 December 1944 came near the town of Poteau, on the road to law, "14th Cavalry Group" of the American in a German ambush of the "Kampfgruppe Hansen". Here the most famous recordings of the Ardennes offensive emerged.
The U.S. reconnaissance unit went on said road towards Malmedy, when she met the German unit in position lying in the forest. There was a fierce battle during which the Americans had to complain about heavy losses and lost all vehicles.
