German Submarine U-BOAT VIIC & IXC
U-Boat is the abbreviation for the German name Untersee Boot. Her mission was mainly to attack defenseless convoys--to cut off the supply line between America and Europe. The Class VIIC submarine was for middle and short distance operations and Class IXC for long range patrols.
