From 1934 the 6-wheeled "G4" cross-country vehicle was primarily built for the German Army and it was available as a seven-seat touring car or saloon. The German Chancellery used the "G4" mainly for representation purposes or as a staff car for high ranking military personnel. In the first three years it had a 100 hp 8-cylinders-in-line engine that accelerated it up to 67 km/h. From 1937 a 15 hp more powerful engine was used, which had already been replaced by a 110 hp engine by 1938. The unsynchronized four-speed gear box transmitted the power optionally to the four rear wheels or all six wheels.
