Martin Depper was the 2008 Mini Challenge Series Champion - a series sponsored by Scalextric. Having led the standings for the duration of the campaign, Martin Depper finally secured the title scoring a second place finish in all three races at Rockingham. This was enough to guarantee the crown despite nearest rival Jack Stanford finishing ahead of him on the track.
