The M1A1 Abrams is currently the most modern American standard tank. Enriched uranium armour is incorporated into the turret front. In this configuration, the Abrams saw service in "Operation Desert Storm" and currently in front line service with the American Armed Forces - even in Europe. The M1A1 is powered by a 1,500 Bhp gas turbine and reaches a top speed of up to 66 km/h The crew of 4 men have a 120 mm smooth bore gun and a coaxially mounted 7.62 mm MG for close quarters at their disposal.
