The ’Sung’ class 039 submarine is the Chinese Navy first independently designs has the modern outlook conventional submarine. The ‘Sung’ class submarine submerged displacement 2250 tons, the length is 74.9 m, the width is 8.4 m and the draught is 5.3 m. single axle advancement, 4 MTUl6V396SE diesel engine provide the max. power 6092 hp and the max. speed is 22 knots, the equipment has 6 x 533 mm torpedo tubes, may use Yu-1, Yu-4 (the Chinese made former Soviet Union SEAT-60 torpedo) and YJ-82 submarine-launched antiship missile, full load is 60 crews.
