Chicherit was the 14th Decision stage of the 2006 Dakar Rally for himself, becoming the first Dakar stage winner of the X-Raid team. A year later moved to Nasser Al-Attiyah. He succeeded at the 10th Stage of the 2007 Dakar Rally also a stage victory. He finished the rally on the 6th Place in the overall standings
